Q. Why are AAIM and EA interested in joining forces?
A. The combination of AAIM and EA offers access to an expanded geographic and member market base. This provides complimentary service lines to offer existing and potential members of both association additional services. This move further enhances the reputation of both associations as a provider of quality services for members. Both AAIM and EA constantly look at ways to better serve and support members through improved product and service offerings. As part of this the respective teams are poised to invest capital to accelerate growth in services for members.

Q. How large are AAIM and EA?
A. AAIM today has approximately 1000 members and EA has nearly 600 members.

Q. How will this action affect membership and service pricing that members receive?
We will continue to provide members with high quality service and member connections that generate the highest level of long-term value. We think that by combining the full strength of AAIM and EA’s resources with the professional expertise, agility and responsiveness of our combined teams we can create a truly unique approach to consulting, training and membership services not commonly found in this industry.

We anticipated no changes in the membership dues structure with this move. Future dues will be based on an analysis of market conditions and circumstances that exist at the time. Ultimately our goal is to provide the best value proposition for the dues investment.

We appreciate your loyalty and membership in the past! We believe that our larger and more diversified association will provide additional benefits to you moving forward – more new services, more experienced people, more flexible solutions.

Q. Will customers continue to have the same point of contact with the association?
Yes. Your account executive or member relations representative will contact you in coming weeks to update you on any changes and share our new capabilities.

Q. What offerings do and will AAIM and EA have?
A. Member Answer/Resource Capabilities: Member research and help desk, newsletters, website, on-line HR information sources, HR metrics survey and HR list serve.

Seminars and Events: Briefings and conferences.

Training and Development: Public education, Learning Management System, webinars and e-learning, customized workplace learning, networking roundtables and leadership councils.

Organization Surveys: Local, regional and national benchmark and customized surveys, policy and benefit surveys, compensation and pay trend surveys, employee opinion surveys and other miscellaneous surveys.

HR Consulting and Services: HR outsourcing, labor and employee relations, policy development, talent acquisition, affirmative action planning, compensation, assessments, background verification and drug screening, performance management, rewards and recognition.

Cultural and Operational Excellence:
Organization development, succession planning, strategic planning, total rewards, performance improvement, coaching and team building.

Supplier Partnerships: Health insurance, workers compensation insurance, outplacement, pre-employment and development assessments, payroll services, health management and unemployment consulting.

Q. What facilities will remain open?
A. Both the St. Louis and Peoria facilities will remain as well as all current branches and satellite locations.

Q. What will the name of the new business be? Will this business be renamed AAIM?

A. AAIM and EA will operate the new association as AAIM Employers Association (AAIMEA). Consulting and training services will be offered under AAIM Training and Consulting Services (ATC). Both entities will operate under a parent entity, AAIM Management Services (AMS).
